The brief I build this design to
Clients and hiring managers judge a developer’s portfolio by how it behaves before they read it: how fast it opens, whether the projects are live and whether the code is public. So this design loads quickly on a phone, links every project to a working site or a repository, and puts the stack and rates where people look for them. That is the brief I build this design to, and it is why a performance badge measured on each deploy sits on the homepage.
What a web developer website costs in Nepal
The guide to website costs in Nepal I wrote groups sites into three bands, and a developer portfolio usually fits the first two. A single page with projects, stack and rates is NPR 10,000 to 25,000; five to ten pages with a page per project and a technical blog is NPR 15,000 to 50,000; an original design is NPR 35,000 to 2,00,000. Static hosting on Cloudflare Pages is free at this size, which leaves the domain as the only thing you pay for each year, and you keep the repository and the domain, so ending our work together costs you only my access.
How it works
First call. Thirty minutes, free. You tell me which projects you are proudest of, whether you want clients in Nepal, remote work abroad or both, and which framework you would like it built in; I tell you which projects to feature and how to write each one up.
The build. One to two weeks once the project list is final. You review it on a staging link, and I measure it in Lighthouse on mobile, open every live link and repository link, and test the layout at seven screen widths, the same checks this site runs on every deploy.
Handover. The repository is yours to fork, change and redeploy, along with the domain and the hosting account. I walk you through the build so you can add a project yourself, and since it is plain code you can read, you can rewrite any part of it.
Questions
Should a developer build their own portfolio?
Usually, and this design is a starting point rather than a replacement for your judgment. If you would rather spend the weekend on client work, I set it up, hand over the repository and you own it.
How much does a developer portfolio cost in Nepal?

Can I host it on GitHub Pages instead?
Yes. The site builds to plain static files, so GitHub Pages can serve it just as Cloudflare or Vercel does. I set up the deploy from your repository and connect your own domain, and nothing about the design changes, because the files are the same.
