The brief I build this design to
Casting teams and brands look at a model’s page quickly and with a shortlist open beside it. So the site shows the right category of work first, keeps the measurements one tap away and makes it obvious who to call for a booking. That is the brief I build this design to, and it is why the comp card is generated from the page rather than kept as a separate file you forget to update.
What a model website costs in Nepal
In my guide to website costs in Nepal I break prices into three bands, and a model’s site sits in the first or the second. One page with the portfolio, comp card and booking contact costs NPR 10,000 to 25,000; five to ten pages with a gallery per category cost NPR 15,000 to 50,000; an original design costs NPR 35,000 to 2,00,000. I quote once we have spoken for thirty minutes, and that call is free. On Cloudflare Pages a portfolio like this is hosted free, so your only recurring cost is the domain, and since it is registered to you along with the code, you can leave at any point and lose nothing but my access.
How it works
First call. Thirty minutes, free. You tell me which categories you are booked for, whether an agency represents you and which images you have the rights to use; I tell you which shots should lead each gallery and what the comp card needs.
The build. One to two weeks once the images and measurements arrive. You check every gallery on a staging link on your phone, and I make sure each photographer is credited, the large images stay light enough to open quickly and the comp card PDF matches the page.
Handover. You own the domain, the hosting account and the repository. I show you how to update your measurements and add a new campaign, and the comp card refreshes from that same edit.
Questions
Can my agency manage the bookings?
Yes. The contact section can show the agency as the first contact and your WhatsApp as the second, or either alone.
How much does a model portfolio website cost in Nepal?
A single page portfolio costs NPR 10,000 to 25,000 in Nepal on a template. I quote per project after a free first call.
Can I keep some photos private?
Yes. Galleries can be public or sent as a private link to a brand, and the originals never sit on the public site.
Do I need a comp card if the site has everything?
Agencies still ask for one. It is generated from the page, so you keep one set of measurements in one place.
Can I keep editorial and commercial work in separate galleries?
Yes, and I recommend it. Each category gets its own gallery with its own cover image, so a fashion editor and a brand looking for a catalogue face each land on the work they came for, and you can send either gallery as a direct link.
