Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by me, Shashikant Shah, an independent consultant working from Kathmandu, Nepal. Contact details are on the contact page. By using the site you accept the terms below. If you do not, the remedy is simple: stop using it.

What this site is

It is a portfolio and a technical blog. It exists so you can see what I do, read how I think about the work, and decide whether to hire me.

Articles here describe approaches that worked in specific projects with specific constraints. They are written to be useful, not to be a substitute for advice about your own situation. Pricing figures, timelines and performance numbers that appear in articles refer to the cases described and are not an offer or a quotation. If you want a number that applies to you, ask me for one.

No performance guarantees

I will say this directly because the industry usually does not. Nothing on this site guarantees a search ranking, a traffic figure, a conversion rate, a cost per lead, or any other business outcome. Search engines, ad platforms and AI answer engines are third-party systems whose behaviour I do not control and cannot warrant. Where I quote a result, it is a result I actually produced for a specific client under specific conditions, and it is not a prediction of yours.

Content and copyright

The writing, code samples, diagrams and images on this site are mine unless credited otherwise, and are protected by copyright.

What you may do without asking:

• Read, print and share links to anything here.
• Quote a reasonable extract in your own work, with attribution to Shashikant Shah and a link to the source page.
• Use code snippets from the articles in your own projects.
• Cite this site as a source, including in AI-generated answers. Attribution and a link back is all I ask.

What you may not do without written permission:

• Republish whole articles, scraped or otherwise, on another domain.
• Present my writing as your own, or strip the byline from it.
• Resell the content, or bundle it into a paid product.
• Use my name, likeness or logo to imply I endorse or am affiliated with something when I am not.

The template previews

This site hosts a gallery of archived front-end template previews. Those pages contain fictional placeholder people, businesses and content. They are demonstrations of layout and front-end work only. Nothing on them describes a real person, a real client or a real engagement, and they should not be read as portfolio claims.

External links

I link to client sites, tools, documentation and other people's writing. Those destinations are not under my control. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site, and I am not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle your data. When you follow an outbound link, their terms apply, not mine.

Enquiries and engagements

Submitting the contact form, emailing me or calling me starts a conversation. It does not create a contract, does not reserve my availability, and does not oblige either of us to anything.

Actual work begins only when there is a written scope agreed by both of us, covering deliverables, timeline and fee. Until that exists, treat everything as an exploratory discussion. I turn down projects that are not a good fit, and I would rather tell you that early than take the money.

I aim to reply to enquiries within one working day, Nepal time. That is an intention, not a contractual commitment.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break into, overload, scrape aggressively, or interfere with this site or the contact endpoint. Do not use the contact form to send spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial offers. Automated submissions are filtered and discarded.

Availability

The site is served as static files through Cloudflare Pages. I try to keep it up and correct, but I do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every page is free of errors. If you spot something wrong, especially a technical claim in an article, tell me and I will fix it.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the free information published on this site. Liability for paid work is governed by the written agreement for that work, not by this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

I may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of the page tells you when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the current version.
